Shatia’s Bra Fitting: Finding Support with UK Bra Sizes
Finding an everyday bra should feel reassuring. When Shatia came to LaBella Intimates for a professional bra fitting, the goal was to find comfortable support that worked for her body and her daily life.
Shatia was fitted in UK 36H and was near the upper end of the size range we were working with, so UK brands offered the best options for her fitting. Her visit is a helpful reminder that reaching the largest cup size in one brand does not mean you have run out of possibilities.

Why UK brands were the best options for Shatia
For Shatia’s fitting, UK brands gave us the widest choice at the larger end of the cup range. Specialist fuller-bust brands offer sizes beyond the limited selection many women encounter when shopping for bras, giving us more opportunities to find a suitable shape and comfortable support.
It is the range offered by the brand and the individual bra—not simply the sizing label—that creates those options. Every style has its own size limits, and not every cup size is available in every band size.
Understanding UK bra sizing
UK, US and European cup letters are not interchangeable. In UK sizing, the cup sequence after D typically runs DD, E, F, FF, G, GG, H, HH, J, JJ, K and KK. Those double-letter cups represent separate size steps.
A different letter on a UK bra does not mean your body has changed. It may simply mean the brand uses a different sizing system. Always check the brand’s conversion chart and the sizing used on the product page before ordering.
For example, Elomi’s UK size guide lists a brand-wide range of D–KK cups and 32–48 bands, with combinations depending on the style. That extended range helps explain why specialist UK brands can be such useful options for fuller-bust fittings.
The bras featured in Shatia’s fitting
Shatia was fitted in UK 36H. We featured the Panache Sculptresse Estel Full Cup Bra in Honey, Elomi Cate Allure Full Cup Bra, and Elomi Matilda Plunge Bra in Black—three approaches to everyday support.
Panache Sculptresse Estel Full Cup Bra in Honey
Estel combines full-cup coverage with four-section cups, supportive lined lower cups and stretch lace at the top. Side slings help bring the bust toward the center, while double-layer wings provide a softer feel. The Honey color and ornate lace bring a pretty finishing touch to an everyday bra.
Elomi Cate Allure Full Cup Bra
Cate Allure offers a full-cup option with smooth satin simplex cups and lace enclosed between layers for a subtle finish. A lined side cup supports forward shaping, and double-layer wings with encased elastics create soft edges. It is a useful style to compare when you prefer more coverage and a smoother appearance.
Shop Cate Allure in Black or Sahara.
Elomi Matilda Plunge Bra in Black
Matilda brings a lower neckline without push-up padding. Its three-piece cups and side support panel help shape the bust forward, while the elasticated upper edge follows your shape. Black bead-style embroidery adds detail, and a movable J-hook gives the option of a racerback strap position.
Comparing these styles shows why a fitting involves more than finding a cup letter: coverage, cup construction and neckline can change how a bra feels and works with your wardrobe. Shatia’s UK 36H is her fitting result; your own best size and style may differ. Available sizes and colors vary by product.
What to look for in your everyday bra
When choosing your own everyday bras, pay attention to these fit checks:
- A secure band: it should sit level and feel comfortably firm.
- Cups that contain your bust: look for a smooth fit without spilling or significant gaps.
- Comfortable wires: the wire should surround the breast tissue rather than rest on it.
- Balanced support: the straps should feel comfortable without needing to be overtightened.
The styles featured in Shatia’s fitting are a starting point for understanding the process. Your best options will depend on your own size, shape and preferences.
